Your customers are already clocking in a huge amount of time on social media. In fact, the average person spends 6 hours a day online. So, doesn’t it make sense to reach your target audience where they’re spending most of their time? Of course, you can't just post your key visuals and print ads on your profile page and expect to start a following. You need engaging content and smart targeting.

Having worked as the copywriting and content manager for tech companies like Shipwell and Coconut Software, big brands like BlackBerry, Huawei, and Alcatel, and the startup tech company Trace Wearables, I have extensive experience in the development and execution of strong online marketing strategies, tailored to reach as many targeted customers as possible.

At Shipwell I have guided the strategy and creation of each piece of content that has gone out over our social media channels. Largely focused on LinkedIn, I implemented a monthly newsletter to highlight the top performing content releases that gained over 1,000 subscribers in the first month, and had nearly doubled that by the second. Under my guidance, our social media followership has more than doubled during my 3 years with the company.

At Alcatel I have developed concepts and created content, campaigns and promotions for Facebook, Twitter and Instagram in order to promote our smartphones, branding and trade show presence, as well as of course to simply engage with our fans with fun social surveys, gifs, app suggestions and other interesting content. With everyone's favorite Canadian smartphone company recently having been acquired by Alcatel's parent company TCL, we have just begun work on reinvigorating their social media presence on Facebook. Check the link to see our progress.

As a startup company, I have had the unique opportunity to help in building Trace Wearable' online presence from scratch. In a short time, we have managed to accumulate over 10,000 followers, with more joining every day -- all eagerly awaiting our product launch on Indiegogo.
